What would make a better "Chapter Two" than the story of when Connor made his grand entrance into this world? And dont worry, I will spare you all the nitty-gritty details.
First off, Connor's due date was September 4, 2010. And if you know us at all, you know that my perfect little boy wasnt born until September 14, 2010. (Stubborn just like his Mommy and Daddy...) Me, being the impatient person that I am, I wanted him out. I wanted to meet my son I had tried so long for. I tried nearly every trick and tactic in the book to go into labor. All for nothing. I technically was in labor for weeks, but not enough to progress me into active labor.
When Connor's due date came and went, with no sign of him coming out, it was time to give him the eviction notice! I was to be induced on September 14, 2010. Ten days after his due date. True to his odd sense of humor, I went into labor the night before the induction.
When I arrived at the hospital on the 14th, they let me labor on my own as I had requested. I really wanted an all natural birth with no drugs and no epidural. That didnt work! Connor's heart rate dropped with every contraction and started staying down in between the contractions. So, I was immediately taken for an emergency C-Section. (So not what I wanted!!!)
On September 14, 2010 at 1:51pm, I was introduced to the most amazing, beautiful little boy I have ever laid eyes on. Weighing a mere 7lbs 5oz and only 20 inches long, I immediately fell in love with my son, Connor Eston Scharf.
